Hello, my name is Rodrigo Nava 👨🏽‍🔬!

I am a research scientist. My professional interests include bio-inspired image models, medical imaging, microscopy image applications, image quality, textures, wavelets, and industrial imaging solutions.

I hold the B.Eng., the M.Eng., and the Ph.D. from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. My dissertation on Gabor filters was supervised by Profs. Boris Escalante and Gabriel Cristóbal.

From Oct. 2014 to Feb. 2017 I worked as a research fellow at the Czech Technical University in Prague under supervision of Prof. Jan Kybic. My research was focused on the segmentation of Drosophila egg chambers. From Oct. 2017 to Sep. 2021 I worked with the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology. During my stay, I developed innovative solutions based on AI and machine learning to support Goodyear’s processes.

I am also a member of the National System of Researchers of the National Council of Science and Technology in Mexico: Level C (2015-2017), Level 1 (2018-2024).

I have created this page to share part of my research. I hope you may find it useful. For further info, please visit: Rodrigo Nava@ResearchGate or send me an email.
